Mondadori Education On 1st January 2008 Edumond Le Monnier became Mondadori Education. Also, in the same year, the two main sectors - school and university textbook publishing - were joined by a third area: professional training publishing. Mondadori Education, which was created in 2000, covers all school levels, from, pre-school and primary, to the first and second level secondary schools with the imprints: A. Mondadori Scuola, C. Signorelli Scuola, Einaudi Scuola, Electa Scuola, Juvenilia Scuola, Le Monnier Scuola, Minerva Scuola, Mursia Scuola, Piemme Scuola, Poseidonia Scuola and Scuola & Azienda. At the beginning of 2009 a new imprint Mondadori for English for English texts for both levels of secondary school was added. Meanwhile the company manages the Italian distribution of language courses for Macmillan, Burlington Books (English) and Hueber (German). In 2002, through the Mondadori Università and Le Monnier Università imprints, Mondadori Education entered the higher education sector with an articulated range of manuals and background texts. In October 2008, in cooperation with Italy's largest university the company created the country's first University Press - Mondadori Università - La Sapienza. The prestigious Le Monnier imprint complete the offer for the educational market with the publication of high quality dictionaries (in particular the Devoto-Oli Italian and the Conte Latin dictionaries) and the production of courses and supplementary materials for the teaching of Italian as a foreign language. In cooperation with the Italian Ministry of Education, the company also publishes periodicals that offer a specialised outlook of subjects in the school sector (Annali and Compendio dell'Istruzione, Nuova Antologia, Atene e Roma, Studi Italiani di Filologia Classica). Evidence of the company's continuous attention to innovation can be seen from Pianetascuola.it, aimed at and dedicated to the world of schools and a reference point for updates and study for teachers and students. Completely renewed in November 2008, both in terms of layout and the concept, the site offers a series of multimedia resources to make studying more enjoyable. The company also maintains the very high level of its editorial production through continuous training of its staff. To improve and expand the effectiveness of its services, in 2006 a Customer Services facility was created in order to offer rapid and precise solutions to its users.
