Magazines

Mondadori Group is Italy's first publisher of consumer magazines and one of the leading operators in the sector in Europe. Since its founding, the company has been a driving force in magazine publishing. In fact, in 1938 Mondadori launched the first women's magazine in Italy, Grazia, in 1950 it launched Epoca, Italy's first illustrated weekly magazine and in 1962 the country's leading newsmagazine, Panorama, that has been leader in its segment since its launch.

In recent years the Magazine Division of the Mondadori Group - under general manager Roberto Briglia - has strengthened its leadership in consumer magazines by launching new titles and pursuing a policy based on international expansion with the launch through licensing agreements of the Group's strongest brands, including Grazia, and the acquisition, in 2006, of Emap France, France's third largest magazine publisher. In recent years, the traditional business has been reinforced with the addition of internet activities with the creation of sites for the titles most suited to supporting web development.
