Ferdinando Superti Furga
Born in Milan on 20 January 1932, Ferdinando Superti Furga has a degree in economics from Milan's Bocconi University. A full professor at the University of Pavia, a chartered accountant, expert consultant of the court of Milan and qualified auditor, Ferdinando Superti Furga is also the author of a number of publications.
During his professional life, Superti Furga has held a number of prestigious positions in the field of science, some of which conferred by the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Universities and the Ministry of Scientific and Technological Research. He is a member of the Italian Academy of Business administration, the European Accounting Association and the Italian Association of Teachers of Accounting and Business Administration, Ferdinando Superti Furga also works as a consultant in a range of corporate areas including account reporting and corporate evaluations, and as a consultant in legal proceedings.
Superti Furga is currently a non-executive director of Molmed S.p.A., Parmalat S.p.A., Giuseppe Citterio S.r.l., Luisa Spagnoli S.p.A. and a number of other companies of the group, as well as a standing statutory auditor of Telecom Italia S.p.A.
He is also chairman of the board of statutory auditors of A.S.G. S.c. a r.l., Binda S.p.A., Fininvest S.p.A. and Publitalia '80 S.p.A.; deputy chairman of the board of directors of IMMIT S.p.A.; and chairman of the Board of Directors of Fondazione Lombarda Antiusura. Superti Furga has also been chief executive of Luigi Furga&C. S.p.A.; chairman of the Board of Directors of Resem S.p.A. and Ausind S.p.A., a company of the Montedison Group; chairman of the board of statutory auditors of Himont S.p.A. and of Edison S.p.A.; a standing statutory auditor of Edison S.p.A.; chairman of the board of directors of Banca Infrastrutture Innovazione e Sviluppo S.p.A.; and a Commissioner of the Fondazione Cariplo.
Since April 2006 Ferdinando Superti Furga has been chairman of the board of statutory auditors of Arnoldo Mondadori Editore S.p.A.
